AI TRANSPARENCY
Radical Honesty and Radical Awareness are pillars of my coaching model. That commitment extends to how I use artificial intelligence.
AI supports parts of my work, but it does not replace the human relationship, judgment, creativity, or accountability at the center of my coaching and writing. I remain responsible for every coaching interaction, recommendation, and piece of content published under my name.
In short, AI does not independently coach clients, make decisions affecting them, communicate as me, or create content published under my name without my substantive review and approval.
Coaching
My coaching is conducted by me, in person or through live virtual conversations. AI does not coach clients on my behalf, impersonate me, independently assess clients, or determine coaching recommendations.
Client confidentiality comes first. I do not enter identifiable client information or confidential coaching content into general-purpose AI tools.
A meeting will not be recorded, transcribed, or summarized using AI without each participant’s advance knowledge and consent. Choosing not to consent will not affect the coaching relationship. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. When these tools are used, I apply appropriate access, storage, and deletion practices.
My ongoing professional development takes place in person or through live virtual sessions and includes real-time instruction, practice, and human feedback. Resources informing my practice include Mike Foster’s Seven Primal Questions, the Meta Performance Institute and its Beyond High Performance framework, and Novus Global’s human development coaching methodology.
These names and materials belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion describes influences on my training and practice and does not imply their review or endorsement of these standards. I have received training in, obtained licenses for, or been authorized to use these frameworks and materials as part of my coaching practice. Any views expressed here about my use of AI are mine alone.
Writing and Content Creation
My written content begins with my ideas, experiences, stories, and point of view. I may use AI to support research, proofreading, perspective-taking, organization, and the development of social media concepts.
I verify material factual claims and research citations against credible original sources before publication. I personally review, revise, and approve all final content and remain accountable for its accuracy and meaning.
When original photography, graphics, or illustrations are unavailable, I may use AI-generated imagery to communicate a concept. Synthetic images that could reasonably be mistaken for real people, events, or documentary photography will be identified as AI-generated or AI-assisted. I do not use AI to fabricate client stories, testimonials, credentials, or endorsements.
Communications
All direct engagement—including coaching conversations, emails, text messages, direct messages, comments, and social interactions—is conducted by me unless clearly stated otherwise.
Business Operations
I may use AI tools for research, business analysis, administrative support, transcription, and meeting summaries.
I evaluate tools based on their privacy, security, data-use, and access controls, not simply on whether they are paid products. Where available, I use paid, commercial-tier platforms, accounts, and settings that restrict providers’ use of submitted data for model training.
AI does not make final business, client, or coaching decisions for me. Outputs that may affect clients, published claims, or important business decisions receive human review.
Accuracy and Updates
AI tools can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased results. I use them as aids, not authorities, and apply human judgment before relying on or publishing their output.
If I discover a material error in published content, I will correct it as appropriate. As AI tools and practices evolve, I will review and update these standards following any material change in tools, regulations, or practices.
A note on the regulatory landscape. Expectations and legal requirements concerning AI transparency continue to develop. The EU AI Act includes disclosure obligations for certain AI systems and synthetic content, while U.S. states are beginning to regulate particular uses of AI. The Interactive Advertising Bureau has also introduced a voluntary, materiality-based disclosure framework for AI in advertising.
These regulations do not apply uniformly to every organization or use of AI. This page is not legal advice or a compliance certification; it reflects my commitment to adopting responsible practices before they are required of my business. As laws, industry norms, and the tools themselves evolve, I will revise this page to stay ahead of what is expected, not just what is required.
